Celebrate the juniper berry on June 8th with these tasty drinks made with local gin
1.The Douglas Fir Cocktail
- 1½ oz gin (Douglas Fir Gin*)
- ½ oz Cointreau
- ½ oz Blanc Vermouth
- 3 drops of Orange & Juniper Bittered Sling Bitters
- Dehydrated orange
- Douglas fir tip
*The Douglas Autograph Collection Hotel has distilled its very own gin in collaboration with Yaletown Distilling Co. The Douglas Fir Gin has a delicate pine note and a full bouquet of eight botanicals, including juniper berries and licorice root. The Douglas Fir Gin is available in-room at the Douglas for $26 plus tax and can be enjoyed at the D6 Bar and Lounge.
2. Gin Sour
- 2 oz Ampersand Gin*
¾ oz lemon juice
¾ oz simple syrup
½ oz pasteurized egg white
- Add ingredients to cocktail shaker without ice. Shake vigorously.
- Open carefully and add ice. Shake again.
- Fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish any way you choose.
